In many projects we combine real timber in lower risk areas with timber‑look tiles or laminates around showers. This gives you warmth and texture without sacrificing durability where water hits hardest.

Choosing the right timber and construction
Timber is a natural material, so it moves with changes in humidity and temperature. That does not mean it is unsuitable – it just needs to be selected and built with this movement in mind.

If your budget cannot stretch to proper construction and finishing, it is also wiser to choose a more forgiving material than to do timber poorly.
In those cases, we can still bring warmth into the space through timber‑look tiles, textured laminates or accessories, while keeping main surfaces as low maintenance as possible.
